The extra charge that appears on your credit card statement when you make a purchase through parent portal is a temporary authorisation hold. This hold is to verify the validity of your card and to make sure the payment method is active.
Here is how it works:
- Authorisation Hold: When you enter your credit card details , $1 authorisation hold is placed on your account to confirm the card is valid.
- Temporary Hold: The $1 is not an actual charge but a temporary hold. The amount will not be deducted from your account balance.
